Jelena joined MCW Lawyers in mid-2024 as part of her Practical Legal Training placement, assisting in various areas of law, with a particular interest in Wills and Estates. In January 2025, Jelena commenced working as a Law Clerk, assisting the Wills and Estates team.
She completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Wollongong in 2023, achieving First Class Honours with a final grade of 90 for her Honours subject. Jelena’s thesis considered the availability and suitability of disability funding in Australia, comparing policies in other developed and developing countries.
In May 2025, Jelena was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Jelena can advise clients about the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Enduring Guardian, in addition to providing assistance and guidance to executors through the process of probate and estate administration.
