...of the franchising game? Read on.
On 5 November 2009, MCW Lawyers in association with Hill Mayoh accountants, hosted the "Exceptional Franchising Workshop" at the Stamford Hotel for our franchisor clients. The aim of the seminar was to help franchisors become better leaders and to drive their systems to success.
Ian Krawitz from 10 Thousand Feet, a leading marketing intelligence company, presented results of his reasearch into franchisors' successes and failures in responding to their franchisees' needs.
Ian says:
"Our research shows that 29% of franchise enquiries come from word of mouth, and 30% from the internet. It also shows that a 12% increase in your net promoter score leads to a doubling of organic growth."
Jennifer Elliott from Integrity and Values, rounded up the morning with her presentation "Developing Leaders in Business". She detailed the journey new franchisees take when they purchase their businesses, how a person learns and changes through experiences and how the franchisor can best manage this process, and detailed her leadership profile analysis.
Jennifer says:
"Leadership is developed through the years of intentional and deliberate practice. You are not a born leader. What does it take for you to become an inspirational leader - what are the rough edges with you that makes franchiees fight you?"
